CHARGERS FAN

SD Chargers 2009

For the past ten years my son Mark and I have made the 70 minute drive from Mission Viejo to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego dozens of times to watch the Chargers.  I’ve let go of our season seats in favor of single game tickets because as Mark got older we just weren’t making all the games.  But we’re still big fans and when not at the home games we’re in front of the big screen wearing our Chargers Jerseys rooting for our team.

It’s September and we begin another football season with high hopes placed on the San Diego Chargers.  At the beginning of each NFL season USA Today’s eight football experts announce their Preseason Pics to win each division, AFC & NFC championships and ultimately the Super Bowl.

UNANOMOUS PICK FOR AFC WEST- CHARGERS

Thirty-two teams compete for the four AFC titles and four NFC titles.  This year the San Diego Chargers were selected unanimously by all eight football experts to win the AFC West Championship.  The only other two teams to get unanimous votes were the New England Patriots for the AFC East, and the Arizona Cardinals for the NFC West championships.

For the AFC Championship the Chargers received picks from three of the eight experts.  The Patriots received four of the eight votes to win the AFC Championship.  Green Bay got three votes to win the NFC title followed by Philadelphia picking up two votes.  Predictions for Super Bowl Champions are New England with three votes followed by San Diego with two.  Earning one vote were Green Bay, Baltimore and New Orleans.
