Flash Floods, Tornadoes, 90mph Winds, 20' Surf Hit So Cal

Poco, one of my favorite country rock groups of the early 70’s did song fitting for Southern California residents- “Bad Weather”-

Seldom are those of us living in So Cal exposed to thunderstorms the likes of which we’ve experienced this week.  Yesterday the rain came down so hard, so fast that drainage systems were completely overwhelmed.  Water levels to rose so quickly that buildings throughout coastal Southern California were flooded.

Torrential Rains Caused Flash Floods

Wind gusts reached 93 miles an hour in Newport Beach and waves surged as high as 20’-25’ while the weather service advised to be on alert for tornadoes.
