Lea Accepted to UCLA

“I got in !!” That was the text I just received from my almost twenty-year-old daughter, Lea.

As friends may know, Lea has had her sights focused on transferring to UCLA this fall after two years of hard work as an honor student at Saddleback College.

This past month she received acceptance letters from UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego and UC Davis.  All three are good schools but not her first choice.   Knowing the week of April 19th was when UCLA would be notifying students made for an anxious wait for the mailman.

She is in and I’m very proud of her.

Go Bruins!!  Go Lea!!!

    Hi Lea,
Dad’s cousin Patty moved to CO in July 2000′ the second time! The first time as a family we moving to CO was in 1979′ to 1982′. Then back to N.J. But eleven years later when Trevor and Kim were 16.5 & 15/5 they moved back to CO to live with their father. And Jason and Jack followed later to CO.! And so to be in the same state as my kids well here I am.
Your Grandmother, Ruth was the best aunt to me all my life, there were no conversation boundery’s.
I’ve been asking your Dad to bring you out to CO perhaps soon it could happen. I want to finally met you as the wonderful gal you’ve grown up to be. And hear above all of your aspirations, dreams and future challenges!
Congradulations on all that you have accomplished, the rest of the way should be a walk in the park!
Remember close friends, fun and laughter are king!
Fondly, Take care of yourself best & most important!
