BAD NEWS FOR SAN DIEGO CHARGER FANS

Losing Manager & Coach of San Diego Chargers

CHARGERS LACK COMPETENT MANAGEMENT

The inept coaching and management staff of the losing San Diego Chargers will return for the 2012 season.

MANY FANS DESERTING CHARGERS

My son and I were San Diego Charger fans and season ticket holders for years.  We loved watching many great players including the likes of Drew Brees, LaDainian Tomlinson, Michael Turner, Darren Sproles and others who were once Chargers.  I also miss Marty Schottenheimer who in his last year as coach of the Chargers rang up a 14-2 winning season only to be fired by A.J. Smith who replaced him with Norv Turner.  What remains are an arrogant General Manager and an uninspiring Head Coach who have squandered the team’s talent and the fan support.

Many Charger fans were hoping for a changing of the guard in the light of another lethargic performance this year.  But the uninvolved Spanos family who own the team opted to retain Smith and Turner rather than payout the remaining terms of their contract.

A team that once played to a packed stadium now experiences TV blackouts due to their inability to fill the relatively small, 67,000 seats at Qualcomm Stadium.  The Spanos family makes overtures to the city of San Diego for a new stadium.  Don’t hold your breath.
