Picked up a NUTRiBULLET at Costco in an (other) attempt at better nutrition and made my first batch of pulverized fruits & veggies.
My son Mark, the training & fitness expert, told me he starts each day with a nutritional blast of spinach, kale, banana, pineapple, strawberries, coconut milk and a scoop of whey protein. Taking his advice I began my day with a mixture that tastes better than it looks.
THE BULLET vs. THE JUICER
A while back I tried using a Jack Lalanne Juicer but found that a large pile of fruits & vegetables produced a relatively small amount of juice. Most of what went in was separated into a container of inedible fiber and many foods, such as bananas, leafy greens and avocados produced no juice at all. In contrast to this the Nutribullet pulverizes everything, including almonds, into a drinkable liquid offering what I suspect delivers more nutrients.
The Nutribullet comes with several containers should you want to make a few batches at once, a book on nutrition and another on recipes. May concoct a recipe of my own- Tropical Fruit, Whey Protein and a shot of Tequila.
